Secondary Behaviour Surgery

Before panel a full overview of needs and support to ensure that a full discussion can be had.

  • 5 mins school talking
  • 7 mins discussion
  • 3 minutes verbal summary and actions
  • = 15 mins maximum case discussion (school can then leave meeting)

 

Lisa Lee (SEND Lead) needs to give time slots to schools.

Schools must record actions and be reasonable for outcomes.

Lisa Lee (SEND Lead) will make records.

 

Criteria for Secondary Behaviour Surgery

  • Must have parental consent
  • Risk of perm ex
  • SEMH needs
  • Must have accessed universal support, this includes and is not exhaustive, MHST, Advice from Rivers ESC (if no EHCP), Therapeutic thinking/Protective behaviours, Mentoring and peer support, pastoral support
  • If attending less than 65% must be liaising with attendance team.

 

Dates for DSPL3 and DSPL4:

Triage - 8.30am on Monday’s from September

Secondary Behaviour Surgery - 8.30 – 9.30am on Thursday’s every fortnight
