Deaf/Hearing Support & Visual Impairment
Deaf and hearing support services are a team of qualified specialists and teachers, who support deaf children and young people aged 0-25. They work with families that have a child or young person who is newly identified as deaf, and with schools to support those who are deaf. The team is made up of:
- Qualified Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (ToDs)
- Deaf Communication Specialists
- Family Support Workers
- Specialist SEND Technicians
- Educational Audiologists

The Vision Impairment team are a team of trained advisory teachers and support staff who are qualified in educating children and young people who are blind/ partially sighted. They work with families that have a newly diagnosed child and schools to support pupils aged 0 - 19.
